CHAPTER 1

In the sunny state of California near the ocean, Victor Price was anordinary guy that was in his second year of college, he was on the weightteam, and was one, if not one of the strongest guys on the whole campus,he was also one of the most short tempered guys there, but his temperwould only be short on those that made fun of others or those that bulliedothers, it was something he would never tolerate, especially those closestto him which brought up his favorite saying.

"You mess with my friends and I'll break you in half."

Spending the weekend at the mall with three of his closest friendsRyan Todd, and Ryan's girlfriend Molly was always some of their favoritepass times but this time Victor seemed really down.

"Man this sucks." Victor said as he slammed his head against the tablehe and friends where sitting at, he had just been put down, by anothergirl, for as long as he could remember women of all kinds, seemed to avoidhim, and he couldn't figure out why?

The only women that ever stayed near him, where the girlfriends ofhis friends, it wasn't the fact that he wasn't handsome far from it, and notonly that he was captain of the weight lifting team at the campus, but hedid have one problem, and that was his fiery temper.

For even the littlest thing could set him off and he would pound youinto the ground.

"I wouldn't think too much on it buddy." Ryan said as he paddedhis friend on the back, trying to lighten his spirits, "you should consideryourself lucky, I mean you get to live on your own, with your family goneover seas it's pretty cool if you ask me."

Victor shook his head saying, "I'm not living on my own my sister isstaying at the house with me, but I would trade all that, if I could just geta girl."

Todd then turned to Victor after a few scantily clad women walkedby them; he then turned back to him and said, "Come on man it's notthat bad."

Victor glared at him angrily and said in a dark tone, "not that bad, I'venever had a girlfriend, in all my life, and for some odd reason every girlI've been with, after one date seems to never call me back or even talk tome again, I mean the only girl that I can remember was the one that hangout with me when I was a kid."

"Maybe only little girls like you dude." Todd joked witch got him apunch in the face by Victor as he yelled out "that's not even funny youjackass!"

After Todd picked himself up, they started their way out of the mall,when they walked out, Victor noticed a little girl, that looked about 9or 10 being roughly carried by three large men, when the girl bit theguy of the arm he dropped her to the ground but when she tried to getaway another guy grabbed her roughly by the arm as he throw her to theground yelling at the child "you better behave or you'll never see yourhome again!"

Victor growled in his throat as he took off running past his friendsas the girl started crying Victor appeared in front of one of the men,punching him right in the face breaking his nose as the man fell to theground unconscious form one hit.

"What the fuck!" The other men said as he saw this, Victor turned tosee two others. "You know you mother fuckers need to pick on someoneyour own size."

"Yeah well, if you knew who this brat is, you would be doing the samething." The so called leader of the group said but Victor sneered at this,"well I don't care who she is, what I do know is you guys are getting yourasses kicked."

Victor kicked out to one of them in the groin and then back handedthe other breaking his jaw in one hit sending him into a wall, the one hekicked in the groin glared up at Victor.

Victor reached out and grabbed the guy's collar and pulled up to hisface. "If I ever see you guys going after any more kids around here againI'll brake you in half."

He then throw the guy to the side as he finally told him to get out ofhere, the guy ran over to his two beaten buddies helped them up and tookoff like a bunch of wiped bogs.

Victor then went over to the girl and finally got a good look at her, shewas small and looked almost doll like with long midnight black hair thatwent all the way past her knees and she was wearing a cute sun dress thatseemed to make her look almost angelic.

Victor kneeled down to get the girl's attention. She jumped as he puthis hand on her shoulder and she looked up at him with tears still rollingdown her little face, as he told her, "It's okay now."

But when she looked up at him she started to cry more, Victor pulledout a tissue, and told her "dry your eyes, I won't let anything bad happento you."

The girl dried her eyes with the tissue, and then looked up at himsaying "thank you." Victor for some odd reason felt a lot better knowingshe was okay, so he told her to come with him, that he would help her gethome safely.

Victor turned to his friends, and asked them if they would help himfind the girl's parents, they agreed, for surely they were still in the mallsomewhere, Victor turned back to the girl, and asked her, her name ashe held out his hand to help her up, she quietly said that her name was"Elizabeth Knight" as she took his hand.

Later on Ryan and Todd seemed tired of looking around for the girl'sparents, they had even had the girls name called over the PA of the mall,and still they had no luck.

As for Elizabeth she was enjoying an ice-cream that Victor had boughtfor her, so she seemed to be having a good time with him.

Finally after three hours of looking for her parents, they decided totake the girl to the nearest police station, but when they got there thegirl clung to Victor's arms and said "I want to stay with you Victor," butVictor told her "I have to go now, sorry but if you like you can come seeme any time you want with your parents next time."

She just nodded with tears starting to fall from her little eyes and said"okay," she hugged him, and said "goodbye" as he walked off leaving herat the station.

On their way out of the station, Ryan and Todd were joking to Victor,"Dude maybe we were right about you Victor." Ryan started, "Maybelittle girls are the only ones into you?"

Victor turned to the two guys laughing, he wanted to punch themboth out for that as he turned to them, "If you guys want to die keep itup." He said as he cracked his knuckles Ryan then said "Don't take it thewrong way buddy, but come on its kind of funny don't you think I meandid you see the way that girl clung to you that whole time?"

"I don't think it's funny in the least!" Victor roared as he stormedoff into his house, slamming the door behind him, later after he cooleddown in his room, his sister, Beth came in, asking "What was all thatcommotion about earlier?"

"My friends were just being assholes about something that happenedwhile I was at the mall." Suddenly as Victor was telling his sister this, henoticed that his wallet was gone, he looked around but had no idea whatcould of happened to it, as he looked around for it, the door bell rang, himand his sister went to answer it, they both saw a little girl standing at thedoor with an innocent smile on her face and a cop behind her.

Victor recognized her form the mall, but then she just ran past himyelling out, "I'm home!" He then looked up, and saw the cop setting downa suit case.

The cop then looked up to Victor, and said "The girl gave us, thisaddress, by using this."

Victor was shock, when the cop handed him his wallet, "What's goingon?" Beth asked, he shrugged as he turned back to the cop, asking thesame thing, but the cop seemed to be out of it, as if he was in a trance orsomething, as the cop just said "The girl lives here, end of story."

Victor started to protest as the cop just turned on his heel, and startedto walk away he yelled out to the cop to stop but before he knew it the copwas gone; he turned to Beth, who had disappeared, as well as the girl.

He ran back into the house, he found his sister standing in the halljust staring into space; he walked up to her and asked "What's wrong?"

But she turned to him with an expressionless look on her face that hehad never seen on her before as she blankly said "I'm going to bed," andwalked off back to her room.

Victor was really getting pissed off as he yelled out to himself "Everyonehas gone mad!!"

He looked though the house to find the girl, he find her in his roomlooking though his things she had just pulled out a magazine that he reallydidn't want her to be looking at.

"Hey girl, stop messing with my things!" He yelled as he stormed overto her forcefully taking the magazine form her, which made the girl startto cry.

"Now stop that." Victor said as he tried to calm the girl, Elizabethlooked at him with tear filled eyes as she asked "Why are you being meanto me, don't you like me?"

Victor sighed and told her "That isn't the point; I wanted to knowwhy you are here?"

"If you kneel down, I'll tell you." She said in a secretive tone, thatdidn't match the girl at all, when he knelled down he asked again, "Okaywhy are you here?"

She looked back to him her eyes glowing red, fangs grow out, and shelunged at him, biting him on the neck blood streamed down his neck asshe forced herself down on him with inhuman strength.

He didn't know what to think at this point, he could fell the life slowlybeing drained out of him, all he could think about was that he was goingto die, as he fell back with the girl still feeding on his life blood, her eyesstill glowing red, as she lied on him draining him of blood, when he finelyfell unconscious, she reared up straddling him, as she smiled, as she flungher hair back saying, "Now you belong to me."

Victor yelled out, as he shot up in his bed the next morning, feelingaround his neck but there was nothing there no wound or anything helooked around the room as he sighed, thinking, "It was just a nightmare,but it felt so real."

Shaking his head to clear it he breathed a sigh of relieve, as he stoodup getting out of bed, and sense it was Sunday he thought he would takeit ease, as he headed for the bathroom to take a shower, but as he got up,he didn't notice the small form sleeping next to him.

He walked to the bathroom, and turned on the lights, and what hesaw in the mirror wasn't his face it was that of a demonic looking monsterlooking back at him, his whole body was red as blood, and he had spikeson his shoulders, and most of his body, he yelled out in a monstrous roar,that almost wake up his sister, in the next room, but Elizabeth jumped upfrom the bed, and shot into the bathroom, and tackled him to the ground,and covered his mouth with that unnatural strength of hers.

She looked him in the eye as she sat on top of him, holding him down,saying "Keep quit, or you'll wake the whole neighborhood. I'll explaineverything, just keep quite."

Victor nodded as she slowly removed her hands form his mouth asshe slid down his body until she sat in his lap facing him as Victor asked"What happened to me?"

"I bit you last night," the girl clearly stated with a smile that showed offone of her fangs. "So what are you a vampire or something?" The youngman asked, and she nodded saying "Yup," as she sat cutely in his lap.

"That can't be," Victory said angrily, "because I saw you in the daylight, there is no way you can be a vampire and you were able to come intothe house without being invited."

"That's because I'm a higher level vampire, the rules of a normalvampire don't apply to me like sunlight, silver, garlic, basically anythingthat would kill a normal vampire, won't kill me, or you now."

"What did you do mean me?"

"I made you into a vampire just like me," she said seemly proud ofherself.

"But how?" Victor asked. He shook his head remembering, a bit ofwhat happened "I get the idea that you bit me, and all but why me?"

"Because I knew, that you could become a higher level vampire likeme," she told him as cutely as possible but he didn't buy it, and he thenasked "How did you know I could become a vampire like you." She toldhim "it is because higher level vampires can find one another by a specialfeeling they get."

"That's fine and all, but I do have one last question." Victor asked,"How do I get back to my normal self?"

The girl realized that he was, in his vampiric form, and said "You just haveto concentrate on what you normally look like, and you'll change back."

Victor then did as Elizabeth said, and he slowly changed back tohimself, he looked at his hands and then said, "Thanks, but can you dome a favor and get off me my legs are going to sleep."

Elizabeth looked, and realized she was still sitting on him she then gotup, with a blushed saying "Sorry about that, and sorry for turning you butI need your help with something big."

"What?" Victor almost yelled.

"I'll tell you in time," she answered, "but first I need to teach you, howto use your new powers." The vampire girl told him.

Victor shook his head no as he said "Forget it I'm not doing anythinglike that. In fact now that I'm back to normal I want you gone," with thathe turned and went back to his room leaving the girl standing in the hall.

Elizabeth though thought that this was still only the beginning thatshe knew he would come back to her, and she did have nothing but timeon her hands her smile near left her face as bats appeared out of nowhereand wrapped around her and then she vanished into the darkness.

Later Victor came back out of his room to find the girl gone, thinkingthat was the end of it he took his shower and then saw his sister in thekitchen seeming normal as if nothing had happen and in fact she didn'tremember the girl at all.

He of course was fine with that, if he had it his way he didn't want tosee anther little girl for as long as he lived.

After breakfast Victor was suppose to meet up with his friends later sohe decided to go for a run before he meet his friends so as to not get outof shape for he still was captain of the weight team.

As he left he felt something was off as he ran, it seemed easier as if hewas stronger than he was yesterday, as he started to ran faster to the pointhe didn't notice that he just ran past a car going almost forty.

When he stopped he checked out where he was, for he found that hehad just ran from his house to the beach which would have been a fivehour drive, and he did it in under five minutes, only one word came to hismind about this, "Crazy."

"This is absolutely crazy, for me make that distance and not be one bittired unless there is something to this vampire thing?"

"Having fun are we?" Said a voice form behind him he turned aroundfast to see that girl sitting casually on the billboard sigh of the entrance tothe beach she sat with her legs crossed and was casually sipping a cup oftea as if it was the normal.

"What do you think you're doing here?" Victor yelled pointing to thegirl that no one seemed to notice even though she was setting on a signthat was a good ten feet in the air.

"Me, I'm just enjoying sun." She said as sat her tea down, and reclinedback and started to kick her feet off the sides of the sign she was setting on.

"A vampire enjoying the sun, that's a joke."

"Didn't I tell you before that you and I are special we can survive insun ..."

"In sunlight and are immune to silver and garlic I get it." Victorfinished her sentient, without realizing it, and he saw her smile down athim as she said "You're learning to anticipate my thoughts."

"I'm not anticipating anything you little brat." Victor shot back gettingangrier by the minute, "I will never do anything you tell me to do!"

"We shall see?" She said as she smiled at him again as one of her fangsshown in the light, Victor shook his head as he walked off but when heturned the girl was right in front of him.

"Get out of my way, you little brat." Victor barked as he pushed heraside not caring that she had just appeared in front of him.

"V ... It doesn't matter what you say or do, you belong to me now infact," she pause in thought, "How does this sound, I'll give you one week,if just to prove that you do belong to me, and prove that you need me justas much as I need you?"

"Brat, the day I need you will be a cold day in Hell." Victor almost yelled,but the girl just smiled at him as she floated up to his eye level and said "Yousay what you will, but by the end of this week you will call me master."

The girl then spun around and disappeared in puff of smoke, once itcleared the girl was gone and Victor huffed as he said "Fat chance littlebrat," as he walked off but then realized that girl had called him "V."

V was a nickname the girl he knew as kid, used to call him of courseit was a lot better then what his other friends used to call him, but howdid that girl know it?

After that day he hadn't heard from the girl vampire, but he stillcouldn't get it out of his head what she had called him, but he hadn't seenthat girl in close to ten years and his other friend that was with him hadto move away.

"So how did this girl know that nickname?"

Then it hit him like a hammer that vampire girl was the one that gavehim that nickname he remembered the girls name too, it was Elizabeth,he used to call her Liz and she would call him V.
