The cures herein are not sourced from any "Indian" tribe but are rather American and European in form- such claims were common in the era, in order to sell literature.
A lengthy series of diseases and their cures, as well as a materia medica of herbal species, are included- these are common to most such works, but this text is differentiated from many competing titles in its inclusion of a list of poisons and their antidotes, as well as a short guide to the nutritional value of various common foodstuffs.
