First illustrated edition, with dust wrapper. Green boards with silver lettering on the spine. Edges of boards are well rubbed. Page edges are evenly and moderately foxed and discoloured, with some light scuffs at the edges--moreso at head edge. Previous owner's inscription on tail of title page: 'Xmas 1954 Felix Davidson'. Also Ex-Libris of Mr. Davidson is secured to front pastedown. Head and tail of spine lightly bumped. Front free endpaper bears light discolouration, so too the title page and pastedowns. Title pages are very lightly coloured. Binding is neat and tidy. Well handled, this book is in fair condition. Dust wrapper bears scuff marks and moderate discolouration. Edges are worn and chipped, front and back, and at spine. Large chips at the head of spine and tail corner edge of front cover (see images). Small to large tears at corners and edges.
