In 1958, homemaker Barbara Goodfellow self-published her first Make it Now, Bake it Later cookbook in an effort to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis. The book and its subsequent sequels went on to sell 1.5 million copies. Barbara died a few years ago, but her family still receives numerous requests for recipes from the original books - even though they've been out of print for 20 years! Those requests are what prompted Barbara's son, Scott, and his wife, Ann, to revive the Make it Now, Bake it Later phenomenon. Make it Now, Bake it Later: The Next Generation will include more than 200 new recipes that have been updated for today's palate, as well as a few of the most-requested recipes from the original books. These are wonderful, "where-did-you-get-that-recipe" dishes you can make ahead of time, put in the refrigerator or freezer, and take out to cook (or otherwise prepare) right before serving. Each recipe will indicate exactly when (and how long) to refrigerate or freeze the dish, making it incredibly easy to make great food and also free up several hours you might have otherwise spent in the kitchen. Acerca del autor: After living in more than a dozen major cities and entertaining everyone from family and friends to politicians and media personalities, Ann Goodfellow has perfected the role of homemaker and hostess. She has contributed to several community cookbooks and participated in many local organizations. Scott Goodfellow is a leading television news executive, serving most recently as Chief Executive Officer of CNBC Asia Pacific. In addition to his mamy years in television news, he has also worked for Dow Jones & Co., Inc.
