Higher education has always been an important component for any country, but it has become crucial for developing countries today especially with the emergence of ‘knowledge economy’. In order to equip the younger generations and mid career professionals with essential knowledge base, skills and value set, it is imperative to invest in tertiary education. This book enables the readers to understand the perspectives of the participants represented South Asian Countries i.e. Bangladesh, India and Pakistan as Cohort I, II and III as ‘Commonwealth Scholars’. All the scholars went through the two and a half years of postgraduate study program using alternative education delivery methods i.e. online/ distance learning and face-to-face modes of learning from Institute of Education (IOE), University of London. This book aims to explore achievements, issues and challenges confronted by mid career professionals using non-conventional education delivery methods for pursuing their higher education on international standards.
