Paperback. What if experiencing true love didn't require you to be good, perform, or get it right for others? In The New Relationship, Allan Hardman invites you to step out of familiar patterns of fear, control, and emotional bargaining that shape so many relationships-and into a radically different experience of love.Drawing from decades of teaching, couples counseling, and inner exploration, Allan reveals how most of us were trained to believe that love is scarce, conditional, and something we must earn.Through five transformational agreements, Allan shows how to reclaim your natural state as love itself-free from people-pleasing, guilt, self-betrayal, and the exhausting need to manage other people's reactions. Discover how conflict repeats itself, why certain people are inexplicably drawn to each other, and what becomes possible when you stop trying to be "enough" and start living from your emotional truth.Rooted in Toltec wisdom, hypnotherapy, and Allan's years of apprenticeship with renowned Toltec teacher Miguel Ruiz, The New Relationship is an invitation to wake up from the dream of fear and remember yourself as love. Whether you're in a romantic relationship, navigating family dynamics, or healing your relationship with yourself, this book offers a clear doorway out of the nightmare-and into what Allan calls the Dream of Heaven on Earth. Imagine a life where you wake up every morning knowing you are the source of love in your life, never again waiting for someone else to fill the void. What if you could finally stop tiptoeing around others' emotional reactions and realize you aren't responsible for them? Imagine a relationship where the truth is so safe that masks and survival strategies are no longer needed for you to feel accepted.
Allan Hardman was an acclaimed teacher, relationship coach, and Toltec Master who trained directly with Don Miguel Ruiz.
Drawing from decades of personal research and a transformative journey from a "nightmare" of denial to emotional freedom, he answers the question: How can we reclaim the freedom to love without fear?
In this book, you will learn:
- The "Right/Wrong Ping Pong" game that poisons every argument—and how to stop playing it
- Why "mutually compatible pathologies" secretly draw you to the one person guaranteed to trigger your deepest wounds (and what that's actually trying to heal)
- The three-column Emotional Equation that instantly exposes the hidden story underneath every blow-up
- Why a three-year-old version of you may still be making your relationship decisions from behind the scenes
- The "hole in the mask" that makes eye contact both thrilling and terrifying for most adults
- How the "Inner Judge" was born to protect the self but now serves as the primary jailer of aliveness
- The shocking truth about why most "emotionally unavailable" partners are actually mirrors of an internal state
- What an antelope escaping a lion can teach about healing decades of suppressed emotional trauma in minutes
- Why every fear you have is almost always a hidden fear of death and how to silence it
- The radical agreement that places the truth of feelings above the actual outcome of a relationship
- Why the phrase, "I feel like..." kills intimacy, and the simple shift in language that creates empathy and understanding
- The secret to shifting from a "cup waiting to be filled" to an ocean that offers the world a sip
Rooted in Toltec Wisdom and Allan's years of apprenticeship with Don Miguel Ruiz, The New Relationship is an invitation to step out of the dream of fear and into what Allan calls the Dream of Heaven on Earth.
