His laft grand work was A political Survey 0 Britain being a Series of Reflections on the Situation, Lands, Inhabitants, Reve nues, Colonies, and Commerce, of this Ifland. Intended to thew, that they have not as yet approached near the fummit of improve ment, but that it will afford employment to many generations, be fore they pulh to their nimoli extent the natural advantages of Great Britain. This work, which was publifhed in 1774, in two volumes, royal quarto, colt Dr. Cam bell many years of attention, fludy, and labour. As it was his la fo it feems to have been his favourite production, upon which he intended to ereét a durable monument of his lincero and ardent love to his country. A more truly patriotic publication never appeared in the Englilh language. The variety of information it contains is prodigious; and there is no book that better deferves the clofe and conflant {tudy of the poli tician, the fenator, the gentleman, the merchant, the manufaéturer; in (iron, of every one who has it in any degree in his power to pro mote the interefl and welfare of Great Britain. Among other enco miums produced by Dr. Kippis on the literary merit of his prede celtor, that of the author of the Account of the European Settle. Merits in America, is perhaps the mail honourable. Dr. Camp. Bell's reputation was not confined to his own country, but extended to the remotefl parts of Europe. As a flriking infiance of this we may mention, that in the fpring of 1774, the emprefs oi. Ruflia was pleated to honour him with the prefent of her picture, drawn in the robes worn in that country in the days of john Bafiliowitz, gran'd duke of Mufcovy, who was contemporary with (been Elizabeth. To maniteft the doétor's fenfe of her imperial majefty's goodnefs, a fett of The Political Survey of Britain, bound in morocco, highly ornamented, and accompanied with a letter defcriptive of the triumphs and felicities of her reign, forwarded to St. Peterfburg, and conveyed into the hands of that great princefs, by George Gre gorio Orloff, who had refided lome months in this kingdom. The emprefs's picture, fmce_the death of our author, hath been prefented by his widow to Lord Macatiiiey.

**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book.
