When ionic anticancer drugs are used without drug delivery systems, they are absorbed in the entire body. This decreases the effectiveness of the drugs. In order to circumvent these demerits, micelles of AB and ABA diblock copolymer are used for the delivery of ionic drugs. But, most of these micelles get collapsed in the blood stream. Hence, these micelles are not effective for the delivery of ionic drugs. Hence, this book describes extensive research works on the frozen micelles based on the ABC triblock copolymers. This frozen micelle does not collapse immediately even it is diluted extremely in the blood stream. Hence, this micelle serves as a long-circulating drug carrier. This book also describes physicochemical properties of frozen micelles with drugs, polymers, surfactants, dyes and also describes mathematical modeling to predict the release kinetics of drugs from the micelle. It also describes the fabrication of nano-hybrids complexes because these complexes may give a new approach to nanotechnology. This book is useful for anyone who is interested in the formulation of drug, food, nanotechnology, polymer, colloid and surface chemistry.
