Paperback. The Horrific True Story of the Abuses of the Catholic Church It is no secret that the Catholic Church has been plagued by a dark history of sexual abuse, with thousands of innocent children suffering at the hands of those they trusted most. "In The Name of the Lord - A Fictionalized Account of the Abuses of the Catholic Church" is a sobering and intense novel that sheds light on these atrocities through the eyes of a young boy in the 1980s. Set in a conservative Irish Catholic community in Massachusetts, the story follows a boy who is sent to a prestigious boarding school owned by one of the most powerful men in the Catholic Church. As he navigates his new environment, he slowly uncovers a web of abuses perpetrated by a man he once admired and idolized, Father Callahan, the leader of the order. The boy's journey is a harrowing descent into a nightmare as he realizes the extent of the horror and the possibility that it may be too late to save himself. This novel is a fictionalized account based on the true stories of thousands who suffered similar fates and were denied justice. The culprits were never arrested, tried, or convicted, leaving a wound that has yet to heal. Structured as a screenplay, this book immerses readers in the action, making the impact of the story even more profound. "In The Name of the Lord" is not just a book; it is a call to acknowledge and confront the reality of the abuses that have been hidden for too long. It is a tribute to the survivors and a demand for justice. By bringing this story to light, we hope to educate and inform, ensuring that such atrocities are never repeated.
