The Sixth Edition. Folio (approx. 36 x 23cm) full calf hardback, professionally rebacked, using original boards. Raised bands, maroon title label, gilt to spine. New endpapers. Pages unnumbered [800+] with main text in double columns. Large bookplate to front pastedown, pencil name and address to new ffep, and old ink signature to top of title page which has been professionally relaid. Some loss to outer and lower edges of one page but with loose photocopy showing missing text. Very occasional light foxing and slight tanning to page edges. The Chaucer Bookshop is situated in a beautiful 18th Century building inside Canterbury's city walls. The building was originally one house but was established as a bookshop in 1956. The adjoining property was also later acquired and the bookshop greatly extended. Amongst the wide range of books (on 2 floors) you will find art, architecture, history, English literature, topography, travel, food and wine, railways and many more. We have a variety of original prints and maps for sale and a selection of modern First Editions and fine bindings. We also stock a comprehensive range of Fine Art greetings cards and wrapping paper.
