Beautiful, unmarked binding. Title and contents page heavily spotted, however, apart from one or two spots here and there, a generally very good, clean copy internally. A charming work celebrating the beautiful sceneries around Great Britain, with descriptive notes on the English lakes, Scotland, Killarney lakes, North of Ireland, Derbyshire, and the North of Wales. With each area and its scenery stunningly depicted to each volume. With illustrations from Thomas Charles Leeson Rowbotham, an Irish watercolour, landscape and marine artist and lithographer, and Joseph Needham, a Victorian landscape painter and printmaker, amongst others. Bound in half crushed morocco with cloth covered boards. Externally, sound with rubbing resulting in minor loss to the extremities. Light fading to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light spotting and minor age toning to the first and last few pages. A tide mark to the rear endpapers. Good. book.
