Acerca del autor: Edith Hamilton (1868 - 1963) grew up in Indiana and became headmistress of the Bryn Mawr School, Baltimore. On retiring, she wrote about the civilizations of the ancient world and gained world renown as a classicist. She was named an honorary citizen of Athens in 1957 by King Paul of Greece.
