David L. Wallace is an associate professor of rhetoric and composition in the Department of English at Iowa State University. He is coeditor of Making Thinking Visible: Writing, Collaborative Planning, and Classroom Inquiry.

Helen Rothschild Ewald is a professor of rhetoric and professional communication in the Department of English at Iowa State University. She is the author of Writing as Process: Invention and Convention and coauthor of

Business Communication.
