As a business owner, she is a strong supporter that small business is the backbone of American society and that economic development relies on the Mom and Pop businesses that dot the American landscape. One of her own companies, a graphic design and sign business, fits into this demographic. She has been doing business in the sign industry since 2001. In addition, Dr. A owns an RV Park, and a successful wholes business that jobs products to smaller gift stores and outlets throughout the country. In addition to being and educator and business owner, Dr. A has published three books and has been a contributing author for a textbook in Organizational Behavior and have written course content for doctoral, graduate, and undergraduate courses.

Barbara Mae Carter is a professor at Colorado Technical University, teaching leadership and organizational development classes. Barbara serves on the dissertation committee for doctoral research at Colorado Technical University and presents at Doctoral Symposia. She is an experienced Instructional Designer with a demonstrated history of consulting and facilitating adult learning.
