Descripción del artículo del vendedor

FIRST EDITION IN ENGLISH, title-page printed in black and red, engraved illustrations by Kermode throughout, publisher's advertisement for other Russian titles from their list tipped in at rear, pp. 218, crown 8vo, original grey textured cloth, with a striking design by William Kermode (signed with his initial, 'K') printed in red and black to the upper board and backstrip, the latter faintly darkened, the top edge black but a little faded, a few faint spots to free endpapers, flylef with ownersip stamp and pencilled initials, very good. An impressive piece of book-design, with the illustrations of William Kermode complementing the text superbly; the text presents the first Five Year Plan in a simple and persuasive style aimed at a younger readers, often by directly contrasting its programme with that of the West observing in in the American economic system the absence of a general plan.
