Descripción del artículo del vendedor

Both volumes are 1912 reprints of the 1906 issuances. A complete, 2-volume Everyman's Library set presenting Sir Thomas Malory's famous work, which is centered around King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. First printed by William Caxton in 1485, this version follows his text, but with modernized spelling and punctuation (per Ross, p. 323). Glossary at rear of vol. II. With a preface by John Rhys and Caxton's original preface. Entries in Everyman's Library Romance series, edited by Ernest Rhys. E.L. no. 45 & 46. --- In binding style 2, full maroon leather-covered boards with Reginald Knowles-designed gilt-stamped spine titling & decorations, gilt-stamped J. M. Dent vignette to front cover, elaborate Knowles woodcut art to title and frontis pages, top edge gilt, sewn-in satin placemarkers and with rounded textblock corners. Volumes lack dust jackets, likely as issued. --- A triangular portion of the leather covering is detached (but present) near the head of the spine on vol. 2, and with mild chafing to extremities (with a tendency for the reddish color of the leather to rub off onto adjoining surfaces), somewhat loosened bindings and fraying to delicate satin placemarkers; else a clean, fully readable set.; 16mo (6 to 7 in. tall); xxvi, 401, [6], 8-411 pages. …
