Promotional paper sample book with complete samples and information on the various Mohawk lines of texts, covers, vellums, opaque, offset, and bond papers. Published by Mohawk Paper Mills of Cohoes, New York, in January, 1963. Includes the iconic Superfine paper, the first choice for the finest work by letterpress, offset lithography, and gravure. Superfine is sampled in eggshell, smooth, and a new high finish. Oblong 8vo, 6 x 9.5 printed stiff wrappers with plastic comb binding. In its original paper-covered cardboard slipcase. Tabs for eleven sections, including Superfine, Artemis Text, Poseiden Opaque, Cortlea Text, Navajo Text, Navajo Cover, Mohawk Vellum and Opaque, Pericles Opaque, Superfine Bond, and Mohawk Offset. Each section with upwards of eighteen paper samples, mostly in shades of white, but also showcasing bold and pastel color palettes. In remarkably good original condition, with only some minor rubbing and bumping to the slipcase, and some minor rubbing to the comb.
