This book adopts a multidimensional approach to explain current practices and trends in facility management. Presenting both research and practical insights from around the globe and providing definitions, examples and case studies, it allows readers to gain an understanding of corporate real estate, as well as asset, property, and facility management in the context of digital transformation, sustainability practice and process optimisation. Alexander Redlein is a Professor of Real Estate and Facility Management and heads the research group on 'Real Estate and Facility Management' (IFM) at the Vienna University of Technology (Austria). He is also the President of the Real Estate User Group (REUG), and former President of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Austria. Along with his research activities, he is a strategic advisor to several international companies and the public sector, advising on facility management concepts, methods, ICT implementation and workplace management.
