Paperback. They were never meant to be heroes-just three outlaws with secrets, debts, and dangerous blades. When a pleasure-seeking Aevrinai rogue with a grin too pretty for its own good, a towering half-Hryndahl with a fondness for blunt solutions, and a dangerously alluring Orzhaan warrior with a haunted past team up for a vault heist, everything goes spectacularly wrong. Now fugitives with a bounty on their heads, they're forced into an unlikely alliance just to stay alive. But survival has a cost-and for Rhazha, that cost means confronting the legacy she has spent years trying to outrun. At the heart of their chaos lies Emberfang, a cursed relic of fire and blood, driving Rhazha toward vengeance, Adanion toward temptation, and Kril. toward hitting things very, very hard. From crumbling ruins to the brutal Orzhaan frontier, they must face monsters, reclaim a twisted birthright, and decide what they're willing to risk-for gold, for each other, and for the fire still burning beneath the ash.Blending sword-and-sorcery grit with dark humour, high stakes, and a fierce heartbeat, A Moderate Chance of Screaming is a blood-soaked adventure full of sharp blades, sharp tongues, and sharper desires. But survival has a cost-and for Rhazha, that cost means confronting the legacy she has spent years trying to outrun.
At the heart of their chaos lies Emberfang, a cursed relic of fire and blood, driving Rhazha toward vengeance, Adanion toward temptation, and Kril... toward hitting things very, very hard. From crumbling ruins to the brutal Orzhaan frontier, they must face monsters, reclaim a twisted birthright, and decide what they're willing to risk-for gold, for each other, and for the fire still burning beneath the ash.
Blending sword-and-sorcery grit with dark humour, high stakes, and a fierce heartbeat, A Moderate Chance of Screaming is a blood-soaked adventure full of sharp blades, sharp tongues, and sharper desires.
