Misfit in the Making by John Lent
You don’t have to be perfect to be chosen. You just have to be honest.
Misfit in the Making is the raw, unfiltered story of Chef John Lent—a man who found redemption not in a pew, but in the middle of the mess. Raised in dysfunction, driven by pain, and numbing it all with the noise of the streets, John’s life looked like it would end behind bars… or not at all.
But then came the hug that broke the high.
The Voice that shattered the silence.
The moment that flipped the script.
This isn’t just a testimony—it’s a wake-up call for every outcast, addict, rebel, and runner who thought God forgot about them. Told in a powerful, non-linear style, Misfit in the Making moves like a movie—raw flashbacks, deep soul-searching, and moments of breakthrough that hit like thunder.
Inside you’ll find:
-
Real stories of pain, addiction, identity, and purpose
-
Grace in the grime of real life
-
A voice for the voiceless, and hope for the hopeless
-
Neon-lit redemption with no filter and no fluff
If you’ve ever felt like a spiritual misfit, like you don’t belong in the polished version of church—this book was written for you.
Because God’s not calling the polished.
He’s raising up the misfits.
The ones still becoming.
You’re not too far gone. You’re just getting started.
