Acerca del autor
Kate is a sought-after speaker, peer-reviewed author, and registered dietitian recognized for advancing evidence-based digestive health nutrition and championing patient-centered care. She earned her bachelor's degree from Simmons College, completed her dietetic internship at Brigham and Women's Hospital, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School, and received her Master of Public Health from the University of Massachusetts. Outside of her clinical work, writing, podcasting, and speaking, Kate divides her time between Massachusetts and Maine, where she enjoys exploring nature and spending time by the coast.

Megan Riehl, PsyD, is an internationally recognized gastrointestinal psychologist, Associate Professor of Medicine, and Director of GI Behavioral Health at the University of Michigan. She also serves as Senior Advisor for GI Psychology, a virtual group practice dedicated to gastrointestinal behavioral health. A leading expert in gastropsychology, Dr. Riehl specializes in helping individuals manage disorders of gut-brain interaction, including irritable bowel syndrome, as well as chronic gastrointestinal conditions that affect quality of life.
Through her clinical practice, research, teaching, and advocacy, Dr. Riehl has helped advance the integration of behavioral health into digestive healthcare. She serves in leadership roles with national and international organizations focused on improving care for individuals with gastrointestinal disorders and is a Trustee of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation National Board.
Dr. Riehl is a leading voice in GI psychology and a frequent speaker, educator, and media expert whose work has been featured in scientific publications, professional conferences, patient education programs, and health media. Her mission is to translate complex gut-brain science into practical, evidence-based strategies that empower people to improve their digestive health and overall well-being.
