The 9th International Exhibition of Architecture articulates its theme of metamorphoses in two places and in two distinct ways: the Italian Pavilion invites visitors into the midst of the experience, while the Corderie in the Arsenale propose something of a guided tour through recent work. But let's be clear about both: in no way are we suggesting that there is only one manner to experience or debate the myriad works on exhibition. Experiencing a work means letting go of preconceived ideas and examining not only the work before us but also ourselves.
