Descripción del artículo del vendedor

A white casebound book. The title is in black lettering down the spine. Pages: (8), 9-301, (2). Profusely illustrated with a majority black-and-white images. "From 1969 until 2009, Max Protetch's gallery, first in Washington, DC, and then later in New York City was a vibrant gathering place for art, architecture, politics and ideas. Protetch advocated for artists such as Vito Acconci, Jo Baer, Robert Barry, Donald Judd, Dan Flavin, On Kawara, Robert Mangold, Sol LeWitt, Dan Graham and Lawrence Weiner; and architects such as Michael Graves, Tadao Ando, Peter Eisenmann, Frank Gehry, Zaha Hadid, Rem Koolhaas, Daniel Libeskind, Samuel Mockbee, Aldo Rossi and Robert Venturi." Contents are as follows: Introduction -- Chronology / text by Irene Hofmann; with recollections by Max Protectch -- Exhibition history -- Max Protectch : on the cutting edge / James Wines -- If these walls could talk / Fred Bernstein -- Politics, social justice, and Max Protectch Gallery / Irene Hofmann -- The timelessness of timeliness / Stuart Krimko -- Max Protetch Gallery staff.
