Born and raised in Western New York, Derrick grew up in a blue-collar family as the youngest of six children. Despite the joys of his childhood, Derrick always knew he wanted something more. His early years were marked by a determination to rise above financial struggles, inspired by the minor league baseball players he watched from his home. Yet, when an injury ended his college baseball career and academic pressures mounted, Derrick found himself searching for direction and meaning. This search led him to join the military, where he gained discipline, organization, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. But traditional career paths left him unfulfilled, so Derrick sought out mentors who introduced him to the secrets of financial success. Through years of personal growth, business development, and independent contracting, Derrick built an impressive career and lifestyle. However, he soon realized that true success was about more than material wealth.Despite his outward achievements, Derrick felt an emptiness inside, a sense that something crucial was missing. As he reflected on his life, he recognized the destructive power of "half-truths" and how they had led him astray. In his pursuit of external validation-through money, success, and relationships-Derrick lost sight of who he truly was. But just when it seemed he had lost everything, Derrick experienced a profound spiritual awakening.Through a powerful encounter with the words of Michael Franzese, Derrick discovered that true fulfillment comes not from external success, but from a relationship with God. This revelation transformed his life. Derrick confessed with his mouth, believed in his heart, and finally accepted Jesus as his Savior-the leader he had been searching for all along.Today, Derrick is more than just a business owner; he is a force for positive change. As a husband to Anneliese and a father to Danny, he is deeply grateful to God for the chance to course-correct and focus on what truly matters. After surviving a life-changing heart attack, Derrick is more determined than ever to use his God-given gifts to honor Him.Derrick's journey has taught him that success is a journey of personal and professional growth, built on a foundation of faith. He is dedicated to providing direction and guidance through life's challenges, drawing on 50 years of valuable lessons and collaborations with experts. His unique gift for bringing the right people together and sharing his custom-tailored wisdom has made him a sought-after mentor and coach.Through his book I AM MASTERPIECE, and ministry project I AM 2ND CHANCES, Derrick continues to inspire and uplift others, helping them discover their own paths to success and fulfillment.
