Peter Schlemihl, a down-and-out young man, finds himself at a party where he meets a mysterious stranger who offers him a seemingly incredible bargain: endless wealth in exchange for his shadow. Desperate for money, Peter agrees and soon discovers the true cost of his decision. Though he becomes incredibly wealthy, Peter's lack of a shadow leads to social ostracism and paranoia. He is unable to form relationships or live a normal life because people are frightened and suspicious of him. Realizing the gravity of his mistake, Peter embarks on a quest to reclaim his shadow, navigating through various challenges and moral dilemmas.
