Every child has a story inside them. Every child is a mini world. Every child is an island in a group of archipelagos - unique yet similar.

Map of Me is a collection of poems that reflects the omnipresence and inescapable joys of childhood, subtly highlighting the journey of growth facilitated by questioning and resulting in finding who we are.

Told in poems that speak the language of every heart, this poetry collection is a journey through childhood and adolescence. Written across the years from age nine to sixteen, these verses capture what it feels like to wonder, to dream, to question, to stumble, and to grow. They show the journey of a young and impressionable mind as it grows aware of its surroundings, and portrays how these influence its thoughts, motivations and ideology.

From poems about pranking friends and bonding with pets to connecting with nature, Map of Me is a poetry collection focused on the joys in life - big and small - celebrating the moments we cherish the most.

In these poems, children will see their own thoughts and actions reflected—the quiet fears, the restless hopes, the small joys that spill over and out. As an art form, poetry embraces breaking the rules...mimicking curious children pushing and testing their boundaries in readiness to soar. Adults, too, will find themselves filled with nostalgia and reminded that the world is full of endless possibilities.

From innocence to joyful self-discovery, Map of Me is not just one story—it’s the universal story of what it means to grow up, merely shown from a lens.

If you’ve ever been a child—or ever loved one—you’ll find a piece of yourself here.
