Descripción del artículo del vendedor

Wonderful explication of the iconic British Ordnance Survey inch-to-the-mile maps, and how their graphics & symbols relate to the real world, told as a tale of two children (not to mention the dog) using a map to travel from farm to town fair, not without adventure! Stated third printing, 1954; first published six years earlier. This reprint retains the original art, which was updated by 1967. Hardcover in jacket, as pictured. Light wear to book, spine ends bumped; jacket rubbed & lightly foxed with rather ugly tears to the front panel and lower spine, shorter tears to rear panel, subtle green tape mend to lower front flap hinge; ink gift note on lightly foxed endsheets, faint creasing to pages. Text clean; [32] pages, most with full-color illustrations. Size: Oblong Quarto.
