Designed as a handbook for those working in primary care and other health professionals, it includes many of the latest references for the researcher, and would provide an excellent background resource for the health writer.

The British Menopause Society's handbook is compact, informative and non-biased, and I wish I had come across it several years ago. It successfully guides the reader through the basic science of the menopause, towards treatment goals and strategies to manage the symptoms that women find distressing at this time of life...It is well written, easy to read and extensively referenced, by the editors. This is an authoritative guide, which serves equally well as a core text on the subject, or as a useful resource to dip into. As such, it should appeal to registrars completing their training, and to more experienced GPs who have been through the menopause many times already.

Efectos del desistimiento
