How can I help my child understand and navigate their emotions?
Why do kids sometimes struggle with managing their feelings, and how can I support them?
What can I do to encourage emotional resilience and a positive mindset in my child?
Meet Evika Belfon, a remarkable 9-year-old writer and the creative force behind "The Magic of Emotions." As a kid herself, Evika’s unique perspective makes this book even more relatable and engaging for young readers. This book is all about recognizing and embracing one’s emotions. It’s important to understand our feelings so that we can learn how to handle them and communicate them effectively. The Magic of Emotions helps young children explore and understand their feelings and thoughts so that they can be proactive in responding to them, instead of being reactive.
Readers will:
- Recognize and understand their emotions, making them masters of their own inner world
- Understand the complexity of feeling multiple emotions at once
- Learn how to express their emotions in a healthy and positive way
- Developing problem-solving skills and learning to investigate personal issues
- Enhance communication with parents and caregivers by better understanding and expressing emotions
- Embark on exciting visual journeys through the pages where characters experience completely different emotions at the same time
- Learn how to navigate the ups and downs of life with confidence
This easy-to-read book is filled with colorful illustrations that will captivate young readers. It includes helpful questions in the back to encourage parents to talk about emotions with their children, as well as an emotion color wheel to help kids identify their feelings.
The book includes:
- Parenting Resource: The book’s guide offers valuable tips and insights on how to support a child’s emotional development, and promote a healthy emotional environment at home.
- Healthy Coping Strategies: The book introduces healthy coping strategies, such as deep breathing and creative expression, which children can apply in their daily lives to manage their emotions in a positive manner.
- Diversity: The use of four diverse characters allows children to see themselves and others in the book, fostering empathy and understanding of different emotions across various cultural backgrounds.
- Emotional Validation: Children learn that all emotions are valid and acceptable, encouraging a more compassionate and accepting attitude towards themselves and others.
- Promoting Mindfulness: The book emphasizes being present in the moment and accepting emotions without judgment, fostering mindfulness practices that can benefit children’s overall well-being.
In "The Magic of Emotions," readers will discover that it’s perfectly okay to feel a mix of emotions and that each emotion is a unique part of their journey through life. Whether you are a parent, educator, or grandparent, this book is the ideal gift that keeps on giving, offering a wealth of emotional wisdom and life skills that will serve children well into adulthood.
