Tom Spratt, author of numerous compilations and studies of Confederate records in the Shenandoah Valley, has completed this 17 volume series on Confederate interments in Virginia. Together, these volumes offer a fairly complete record of Confederate dead buried in recognized church and cemetery plots throughout the Old Dominion, and include gravestone inscriptions for both Confederate soldiers killed in action and veterans who died later. This series will become a major reference work for the Confederate researcher.
