Love You More

Paul Norton's life was a success. He touched people's lives all over the world. His heart he gave to me and family. We are all better people because Paul lived. From the beginning, our love had a foundation. Our foundation was our faith.

Paul and I were taught by Catholic clergy from the time we were small children. It was a part of who we were. Trusting in God was what we knew how to do. Having our faith, we had the most important tool to deal with cancer.

God was in control and God works through man. The desire to pursue the best treatments, surgery and clinical trials came from this faith. To share this cancer journey together also came from this faith.

"When one cries, the other tastes salt."

To be able to discuss heaven, saints and angels helped us to triumph over death while we were still living and it was a blessing. Paul and I knew that heaven was our home and that someday one of us would go first. Love is what heaven is all about.

Paul took our love with him. It is now in heaven. I'm here on this good, green Earth with our love inside my heart. Our love is in both places. Paul and I still love each other and that love is eternal.
