Life, like a cigar
It is to be enjoyed
For each breath we take
Brings us closer to the end ...

A father reflects on a life well-lived in these poignant, uplifting poems. As thunder rumbles and waves roll by, the speakers marvel at small miracles, reminding us to cherish the moment even amidst the constant pressures of adulthood. Yet hard work, too, has its place in this collection, which refuses the lure of a magic pill and finds solace, instead, in purpose and risk-taking, friendship and parenthood-all the simple, astonishing joys on offer for those willing to embrace them.

Rife with warmth and accessible wisdom, Love You, Now Listen offers a roadmap for readers at all stages of life. Grounded in humility, these poems invite both enjoyment and interrogation as they traverse difficult terrain.
