Drug addicted and crazed with greed, Kevin Norris shot their mother, father and younger brother in their opulent suburban L.A. home, leaving them for dead. Apprehended in Las Vegas, Kevin proves smarter than the system by behaving psychotic to get a mental evaluation in the jail ward of the Los Angeles county hospital. Escaping custody, he eludes authorities during a five-state manhunt with one goal in mind: Eliminate Lisa so he will inherit the entire family fortune. Afraid for her life, Lisa turns to Deanne Acuña, a private eye renowned for her sixth sense as well as her common sense. In a true story of extraordinary courage and intuitive skills, Deanne offers a safe haven for Lisa then sets out to track down Kevin Norris—a journey that will test her abilities and Lisa's will to survive as she is stripped not only of family and friends but of her very identity.

Deanne Acuña is a private investigator licensed by the California Department of Consumer Affairs’ Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS). She is also a Certified Legal Investigator (CLI) through the National Association of Legal Investigators (NALI) and a Certified International Investigator (CII). She is a member of the National Council of Investigation & Security Services (NCISS), the International Intelligence Network (INTELLENET), the California Association of Licensed Investigators (CALI) and the Professional Investigators of California (PICA). She accepts clients by referral only. While Deanne is open about her telepathic and claircognizant abilities, she does not promote herself as such, or allow it to cast doubt on her credentials as a certified professional investigator. While telepathy and precognition have proved beneficial in her line of work, she relies as much on her common sense as on her sixth sense. The purpose of the Intuitive Investigator series is to inform and educate readers about how Deanne utilizes her acute intuition in her career as well as to focus a spotlight on serious social issues such as drug addiction, human trafficking and elder abuse. With over thirty-five years’ experience, she continues to run a highly successful agency in the Los Angeles area with a select team of associates, including her daughter, Kimberly Acuña. *** Award-winning author Gillian Doyle has been everything from college radio DJ to aerobics instructor at Richard Simmons’ Anatomy Asylum.
