From the late 1800s until the advent of radio and television, stereoscope viewers were one of the most popular forms of home entertainment. Special cameras make stereoscopic cards, which feature two images set side-by-side. Seen through the viewer, the two photos merge to create a strikingly lifelike 3-D image. You can still experience the thrill of seeing world landmarks up close and personal, with an added dimension. Combine time travel with a trip to London, all from the comfort of your own home.

Here is London in the great era of Queen Victoria and King Edward VII, brought to life in rare, original, three-dimensional photographs. Included are views of such iconic London sights as Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London and the famous Beefeaters, nighttime on the Thames, Petticoat Lane, the Tower Bridge, and London Bridge€”when it was still in London. The book's built-in stereoscopic lenses make viewing the photographs a snap. Extensive captions describe the history of each of the landmarks portrayed in the book.

Experience the depth and realism no ordinary photograph or movie can offer, all in a tidy, bound book, so you can't lose your stereoscope viewer!
