Paperback. Being young, strong, and immortal isn't all it's cracked up to be when your every move is tracked and sabotaged by an evil genius who holds all the cards. When one of their own, Griffin, is seemingly obliterated in a fiery explosion, high school seniors Joss, Hunt, Layla, and Brady are suddenly desperate to find out exactly how immortal they really are. For Joss, living without Griffin--whom she's always loved--isn't an option. But while she and her friends have learned they possess powers other than the ability to regenerate, they don't yet know what they are. And they've already put a lot of rough miles on their bodies . . .What Joss does know is that she'll risk everything to have gorgeous Griffin back at her side, even if it means taking down the malevolent Magnum Chase. He's kept them hostage at his tightly guarded institute for far too long, leaving them at the mercy of the "families," who've been making attempts on their lives at every turn. Enough is enough, as far as Joss is concerned. With Griffin back in the fold, this little band of rebels is ready to gun their engines and burn some rubber all the way out of town.Using the psychic link that allows them to communicate safely and silently, the five friends share information and celebrate every small victory as they prepare for the most important fight of all: the one that will expose Magnum's secret plans, destroying him and all the others who've tried to take them out. But there's no telling what they'll find on the other side of "Ridgemore" once they escape. And the truth, it turns out, may actually be stranger than fiction . . . Stranger Things meets Riverdale in the third installment of this bold, brutal series, in which a group of longtime friends must slice through a complex web of evil to get to the truth that will finally set them free. Being young, strong, and immortal isn’t all it’s cracked up to be when your every move is tracked and sabotaged by an evil genius who holds all the cards.
When one of their own, Griffin, is seemingly obliterated in a fiery explosion, high school seniors Joss, Hunt, Layla, and Brady are suddenly desperate to find out exactly how immortal they really are. For Joss, living without Griffin—whom she’s always loved—isn’t an option. But while she and her friends have learned they possess powers other than the ability to regenerate, they don’t yet know what they are. And they’ve already put a lot of rough miles on their bodies . . .
What Joss does know is that she’ll risk everything to have gorgeous Griffin back at her side, even if it means taking down the malevolent Magnum Chase. He’s kept them hostage at his tightly guarded institute for far too long, leaving them at the mercy of the “families,” who’ve been making attempts on their lives at every turn. Enough is enough, as far as Joss is concerned. With Griffin back in the fold, this little band of rebels is ready to gun their engines and burn some rubber all the way out of town.
Using the psychic link that allows them to communicate safely and silently, the five friends share information and celebrate every small victory as they prepare for the most important fight of all: the one that will expose Magnum’s secret plans, destroying him and all the others who’ve tried to take them out. But there’s no telling what they’ll find on the other side of “Ridgemore” once they escape. And the truth, it turns out, may actually be stranger than fiction . . .
Stranger Things meets Riverdale in the third installment of this bold, brutal series, in which a group of longtime friends must slice through a complex web of evil to get to the truth that will finally set them free.
