Original blue sand-grain cloth, lettered and blocked in gilt and blind, covers rubbed, lacking the front free endleaf and with three previous owner's names on the pastedown dated 1857, 1880 and 1887. Hinges are slightly cracked with exposed netting. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Lettering is darkened.
