She was eighteen, pregnant, and taken.
Zalayuh Krieger never expected her life to unravel the way it did. One night with the wrong man. A baby, she decided to keep. And then—nothing. He walked away without a second thought, leaving her to figure it out alone.
What she didn't know was that Daxyn came from a werewolf pack. And his father, Ravik, had already decided that her unborn child belonged to them.
Abducted and held captive in the mountains of rural Tennessee, Zalayuh is assigned a guard—Quinnlyn, a young man ordered to watch over her against his will. He is guarded, cold, and loyal to no one. She is stubborn, scrappy, and refuses to break, no matter how long the walls close in around her.
What neither of them expects is what begins to grow in the space between captor and captive.
When tragedy strikes, and Ravik orders her death, Quinnlyn makes a choice that costs him everything. He runs, taking her hundreds of miles south to the Louisiana bayou, where his aunt can save her life.
Stranded together in a small cabin, grieving and furious and bound by circumstances neither of them chose, they have nowhere to go and no one to trust but each other.
My Little Doe is not a gentle love story.
It is the story of two people who had every reason to hate each other—and slowly, reluctantly, painfully—chose something else.
Set in 1995 across the mountains of rural Tennessee and the Louisiana bayou. Contains mature themes including pregnancy loss, addiction, and captivity. For a full content warning, see the front matter.
