Gift quality About the book: Stuart brings his story to the present time in his final book of this trilogy. . .a time when little girls wore dresses and hats to church, the United States was experiencing growing pains of its own and history, culture, and technology were evolving into what would become present-day America. Beginning in 1957, this book chronicles Stuart's life as he, along with several thousand other officers, were RIFed. He then enlisted as a sergeant and began a new life at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. During this time, he would have a 14 months unaccompanied tour to Korea. Returning to Fort Bliss, he would eventually retire as a Lieutenant Colonel in El Paso and enter the civilian world to become a successful commercial realtor. El Paso remains his home to this day. As son, husband, father, grandfather, and now great-grandfather, he looks back at the shaping of his own life and the tumultuous times in which he has lived. His keen insight and observations of this historical period provide an intimate glimpse of the world as it has changed and evolved throughout the past several decades.…

Descripción de la tienda
I am an online seller only. I attempt to offer the best price for an item, considering rarity, costs, condition, and other factors. For USA buyers, I figure media shipping into the price. However, I do not have a bulk mailing license (at least yet) like many big online sellers do. I mail USPS media rate unless you request priority--with an added mailing costs. Unfortunately, the USPS media shipping costs have gone up multiple times in the last couple of years. In some cases, it cost more to ship the book media rate than the actual cost of the book itself. You may ask why buy from someone who does not use bulk shipping rates? CARE IN CATALOGUING BOOKS In short, because you get a better quality service. Many bulk sellers may sell the book cheaper (especially if they can bulk ship it) but most do not take the time to list book conditions carefully or add photos. So you are often buying a book without a good idea of what its condition is. They often say things like "may contain markings and other defects or be a library discard." We take care in listing and take a look inside and outside the book, noting any defects in the description. If it is a hardback we note conditions of the dust jacket, and in some cases fix deteriorating dust jackets. We also repair books if needed; if not, we describe the repair needed. If there is not a stock photo of the book or our book differs from the stock photo, we provide a photo of the book. In some case, we provide multiple photos. We often provide copies of tables of contents or book reviews (about the book notes). CARE IN MAILING Many bulk seller, take little effort in mailing your book. Some put them in a thin plastic mailing bag that may arrive with tears in the bag. We take care in shipping, and we wrap all books (except small brochure and paper) in butcher paper and a tight layer of mailing tape on top so the book has little chance of arriving damaged. Pricier and more delicate older books are mailed in cartons and also wrapped in butcher paper. The books are mailed individually and not in bulk rate, which in itself helps preclude damage in shipping. IN SHORT--BETTER SERVICE FOR A LITTLE MORE IN COST As the saying goes, "You get what you pay for. We would like to work with you and gain your trust. We accept returns and will answer any inquires by email, mail, or phone (text or voice). Thank you for reading this. Frank (sunalso)…
