Paperback. "Legends of Texas" is a landmark collection of folklore and regional storytelling, serving as a vital record of the myths and oral traditions that shaped the cultural landscape of the Lone Star State. This volume gathers a diverse array of narratives ranging from hair-raising ghost stories and legends of buried treasure to tales of lost mines and frontier heroes. The work delves into the rich tapestry of Texan history, blending historical fact with the imaginative embellishments of generations of settlers, vaqueros, and pioneers.
