Melita Logan thought she was coping with her mother’s death, but now she is not so sure. As she approaches young womanhood she leaves her family behind to create a new beginning in Philadelphia with help from her friend Sheila, who invites her to stay with her and her husband. Bound together by loneliness and loss, Sheila and Melita both know they have obstacles to overcome.
