Lean – Turn deviations into success! provides a deeper understanding of Lean from a western perspective. The book explains the key elements of Lean with the goal of shifting focus from isolated method use to what Lean is really about - identifying and eliminating waste.

The book highlights why rather than how. It aims to help organizations understand the underlying reasoning which is the key to the long-term success of Lean. Understanding is necessary to consistently be able to choose the right improvement actions based on one’s own unique business requirements.

The book is aimed at Lean practitioners who seek deeper understanding to decision-makers intending to choose the Lean path. It is also suitable studying at universities, colleges, etc.

Reviews "Whether you read this book to acquaint yourself with Lean or to immerse yourself in the subject, both options work well. The authors have simply and clearly described both the principles and the methodology of Lean where good examples from different industries and companies illustrate what to do and how to think. In addition, the book is readable, has good illustrations and creates the desire for improvement making it one of the best on the subject that I have read”
Ulf Johansson
Head of Production, Ericsson Borås Unit

"Finally, a readable book in Swedish on Lean! Many thanks! It was well stocked with facts, legible and in some areas even entertaining. The little amount of time it took to read the book was filled to the brim with value - a valuable activity with very little waste, just as we would like things to be!”
Maria Viidas
Quality Assurance Manager, Vara Municipality

"The best book on Lean that I have ever read, it explains the thoughts, principles and relationships in an exemplary simple way. The book also provides practical guidance in the art of getting started and achieves the first visible results."
Hans Jeppsson
Lean Consultant

"See deviations as having potential. The authors have, in a simple and pedagogical manner, succeeded in showing why you should see deviations as having potential and why you should use them in continuous improvement efforts and create success. The book addresses both practitioners as well as to students."
Ola Hultqrantz
Chalmers, Department of Logistics

"This is a well-balanced, very visual book with no waste. One can see that the authors fully understand Lean, and they explain it in a simple way. Unlike other Lean books, this book does not go unnecessarily deeply into Lean methodologies. The book describes the methods but focuses primarily on how the methods along with a number of principles are interrelated in a system. Fantastic!"
Fredrik Allard
Plant Manager, Scania CV AB, Cab Body Production Plant

"Lean is starting to be introduced in health care, but the dilemma is that Lean is often thought of as an improvement method. Worthy initiatives stagnate because one has not understood the importance of the systems way of thinking and the underlying principles. This book has been eagerly anticipated - it presents Lean in an extraordinary way, as a complete approach. It describes both the educational and practical structures which are so crucial to Lean, which have been overlooked by many other books on the subject. The book is also impressively efficient - while being easy to read, it has a depth of knowledge that makes you understand new aspects every time you go back to it (the features of a really good book). Read it with joy and think deeply!"
