Paperback. Tom Flannigan is one of the fastest swimmers in the world - Olympic champion, holder of world records, and a man who has fought his way back from public disgrace and betrayal to reclaim his place on the podium. But when he meets Mandy Laurent - talented swimmer, daughter of one of the most powerful families in Europe - he discovers that the greatest victory of his life will not be won in the water.Together, they face every test the world can throw at them: rivals who will stop at nothing to defeat Tom, a press that hounds their every step, storms that threaten to destroy the dream they build, and the quiet, unrelenting pressure of living under the spotlight. After winning Olympic gold, they turn their backs on fame to build training camps for young swimmers - giving children from every background the chance they themselves were lucky enough to find. But their greatest story begins when their son Ian is born - a boy with extraordinary gifts, carrying a name that opens every door and casts a long shadow. As Ian grows into a young man, he must choose: will he follow in his parents' footsteps, or forge his own path? When he steps onto the greatest stage of all, he carries not just the hope of victory, but the weight of a legacy - and learns that true greatness means standing tall, not as someone's son, but as himself.Spanning three generations, Last Length for Success is a story about what truly lasts: not medals or records, but love, family, and the courage to build something that outlives you.
