The storyline is (unfortunately) believeable, or at least very relevant to our times. The political intrigue described at the Vatican is right on the mark - and I say this as a Traditional Roman Catholic, not just as someone who wants to find fault with the goings on at the Vatican. I hope the apocalyptic elements aren't something we end up seeing in our lifetimes, but it certainly makes you wonder. I picked it up as a single novel, so by all means go for the omnibus edition.
