Paperback. This Halloween, No Decorations. No Costumes. No Candy. No Chance. In the quiet coastal town of New Haven, last year's Halloween carnival ended in a tragic assault. In response, the spooky holiday has been banned, its decorations forbidden, and the once festive traditions outlawed. Mason Canavan, a teacher and a survivor of the attack, is still haunted by memories. Grief doesn't fade easily, nor does what lingers in the shadows. When strange things start happening around town - flickering lights, odd sightings, and a lurking presence - Mason and a group of unlikely allies get pulled into a mystery buried deep in the community's history. As All Hallows' Eve approaches, they uncover dark secrets in forgotten folk tales and mistaken myths. They learn some spirits refuse to stay buried. Time is running out to uncover the truth before it finds them. Will the town be consumed by the malevolent force unwittingly released upon it? Of The Lantern is a haunting story filled with folklore, small-town secrets, anguish, and the dangers of forgotten traditions. Step into New Haven, where the past isn't dead; it's just waiting. Light a candle. Carve a pumpkin. Don't forget what the lanterns are for. And hope the light lasts. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.…
