Debra Scala Giokas is a marketing communications professional. A member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, she is the author of a picture book about the American fashion designer, Claire McCardell. An avid crocheter herself, she is a professional member of the Crochet Guild of America. She lives on Long Island in New York with her husband and their dog.
