Neuware - 'Is this God's will for my life ' It's the question that keeps people up at night - over a job offer, a relationship, a move across the country, or simply the quiet fear that they're headed the wrong direction altogether. After forty years as a pastor and evangelist, Michael C Herbert has sat across from thousands of people wrestling with exactly that question. In How To Know the Will of God , he lays out what four decades of ministry have taught him: discerning God's will isn't guesswork, and it isn't a formula either - it's a pattern you can learn to recognize.Drawing on Scripture, circumstance, the Holy Spirit's inner witness, wise counsel, and the peace of God - five trustworthy witnesses that confirm one another - this book gives you a practical way to test decisions big and small, and shows you what to do when those witnesses seem to disagree.Inside, you'll find: - A clear, workable framework for discerning God's will - tested through prayer, obedience, and patience, not guesswork- The difference between God's moral will (never in question) and His directional will (uniquely yours) - a distinction the author calls one of the most freeing truths in Scripture- Honest engagement with questions many believers carry in silence, including a compassionate, biblically grounded look at a believer's eternal security after suicide- Real stories drawn from a life of ministry - feeding children in inner-city Milwaukee alongside his son, book donations turned away twice before a door finally opened, and the altar call that changed the course of his life- Scripture throughout in the NIV, carefully checked chapter by chapterHerbert writes as a pastor who has walked with people through prison cells, rescue missions, and mission fields from Poland to Israel - not as a theologian working from a desk. The result is a book that is deeply biblical and unmistakably practical: honest about the waiting, honest about the doubt, and confident that God still speaks clearly to those who are listening. If you've ever asked, 'God, what do You want me to do ' - this book was written for you. …

"Is this God's will for my life?" It's the question that keeps people up at night — over a job offer, a relationship, a move across the country, or simply the quiet fear that they're headed the wrong direction altogether. After forty years as a pastor and evangelist, Michael C Herbert has sat across from thousands of people wrestling with exactly that question. In How To Know the Will of God?, he lays out what four decades of ministry have taught him: discerning God's will isn't guesswork, and it isn't a formula either — it's a pattern you can learn to recognize.
Drawing on Scripture, circumstance, the Holy Spirit's inner witness, wise counsel, and the peace of God — five trustworthy witnesses that confirm one another — this book gives you a practical way to test decisions big and small, and shows you what to do when those witnesses seem to disagree.
Inside, you'll find:
- A clear, workable framework for discerning God's will — tested through prayer, obedience, and patience, not guesswork
- The difference between God's moral will (never in question) and His directional will (uniquely yours) — a distinction the author calls one of the most freeing truths in Scripture
- Honest engagement with questions many believers carry in silence, including a compassionate, biblically grounded look at a believer's eternal security after suicide
- Real stories drawn from a life of ministry — feeding children in inner-city Milwaukee alongside his son, book donations turned away twice before a door finally opened, and the altar call that changed the course of his life
- Scripture throughout in the NIV, carefully checked chapter by chapter
Herbert writes as a pastor who has walked with people through prison cells, rescue missions, and mission fields from Poland to Israel — not as a theologian working from a desk. The result is a book that is deeply biblical and unmistakably practical: honest about the waiting, honest about the doubt, and confident that God still speaks clearly to those who are listening.
If you've ever asked, "God, what do You want me to do?" — this book was written for you.
