Paperback. "How to Know Period Styles in Furniture" offers a comprehensive yet accessible overview of the evolution of furniture design throughout human history. Written by William Lowing Kimerly, this guide traces the development of domestic craftsmanship from the opulent era of Ancient Egypt through the various European dynasties and into the styles of the early 20th century. The work provides detailed insights into the defining characteristics of major historical periods, including the Renaissance, the Elizabethan era, and the influential French styles of Louis XIV, XV, and XVI. Readers will discover the distinguishing features of Chippendale, Hepplewhite, and Sheraton designs, as well as the unique aesthetic contributions of the Empire and Victorian periods. By examining the materials, motifs, and construction techniques that define each era, Kimerly creates a practical resource for collectors, decorators, and historians alike. This volume serves as an essential reference for anyone seeking to identify and appreciate the artistry of historical furniture. Efectuaremos el reembolso sin demoras indebidas y, a más tardar, 14 días después de que se nos informe de su decisión de rescindir este contrato.
