I Know It's Autumn. Este artículo no está disponible.I Know It's Autumn

I know it's autumn when
we rake the leaves in piles,
when doorstep jack-o'-lanterns
wear their crooked smiles ...

Leaves are falling, geese are flying, and warm coats are -- reluctantly -- being worn to school. That can mean only one thing: It's autumn!

Eileen Spinelli and Nancy Hayashi invite you to enjoy autumn's many delights -- from warm socks worn on chilly mornings to tempting piles of crackly leaves on the lawn -- in this sweet, funny look at fall.

Eileen Spinelli is the author of many picture books and poetry collections, including A Big Boy Now, Hug a Bug, and the bestselling When Mama Comes Home Tonight, among others. When she writes a story, she has an instant audience: her twenty-five grandchildren and husband, Jerry (also a writer). Aside from story making, Eileen teaches creative writing and poetry. The Spinellis live in Media, Pennsylvania.

Nancy Hayashi grew up in Bucyrus, Ohio, where every week she would check out as many books as she could carry from her local library. By the time she was in third grade, she knew she wanted to make books herself. After working as a designer and art director, Ms. Hayashi began writing and illustrating books for children. Ms. Hayashi lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two sons. She still checks out as many library books as she can.
