nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - The Knotted Tree is a beautifully illustrated parable about courage, resilience, and emotional growth, written to spark meaningful conversations with children, teens, and the adults who guide them. When three travelers come upon a weathered, knotted tree-the lone survivor of relentless storms-they see more than broken branches and a twisted trunk. They see a story. The tree becomes a metaphor for how life's challenges, though difficult, can shape our strength and guide us toward purpose and hope.Rather than portraying struggle as something to avoid, The Knotted Tree affirms that our setbacks, scars, and tangled experiences can become stepping stones-a ladder that helps us climb toward new perspectives. The travelers learn that what first appears damaged or lifeless can, in truth, offer us the firmest footholds in our journey forward.Told in lyrical, poetic language and paired with warm, expressive illustrations, this story encourages young readers to find meaning in adversity, to look beyond the surface, and to recognize the quiet strength already growing within them.Perfect for middle school and high school readers, as well as parents, educators, therapists, and counselors, this book opens gentle pathways into conversations about identity, emotional resilience, self-discovery, coping skills, and the courage to keep going even when life feels uncertain. The Knotted Tree is more than a story-it is an invitation: To see differently. To climb with courage. To believe that within every hardship lies the potential for extraordinary growth.…

The Knotted Tree is a beautifully illustrated parable about courage, resilience, and emotional growth, written to spark meaningful conversations with children, teens, and the adults who guide them.
When three travelers come upon a weathered, knotted tree-the lone survivor of relentless storms-they see more than broken branches and a twisted trunk. They see a story. The tree becomes a metaphor for how life's challenges, though difficult, can shape our strength and guide us toward purpose and hope.
Rather than portraying struggle as something to avoid, The Knotted Tree affirms that our setbacks, scars, and tangled experiences can become stepping stones-a ladder that helps us climb toward new perspectives. The travelers learn that what first appears damaged or lifeless can, in truth, offer us the firmest footholds in our journey forward.
Told in lyrical, poetic language and paired with warm, expressive illustrations, this story encourages young readers to find meaning in adversity, to look beyond the surface, and to recognize the quiet strength already growing within them.
Perfect for middle school and high school readers, as well as parents, educators, therapists, and counselors, this book opens gentle pathways into conversations about identity, emotional resilience, self-discovery, coping skills, and the courage to keep going even when life feels uncertain.
The Knotted Tree is more than a story-it is an invitation:
To see differently.
To climb with courage.
To believe that within every hardship lies the potential for extraordinary growth.

Acerca del autor
Amanda was raised in Bay Village, Ohio, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baldwin Wallace University, where she majored in Studio Art with an emphasis in painting and printmaking, along with a minor in Psychology. She is currently a high school art teacher, specializing in painting and other two-dimensional art forms. In addition to teaching, Amanda continues to create her own artwork, which has been featured in numerous exhibitions. These include the Emerging Artists Series at Tri-C Gallery West, a solo art exhibition at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens, the North-East Ohio Print Invitational at Fawick Art Gallery, and Continuing Conversations - From Woodblock to Inkjet at the Artists Archives of the Western Reserve, among other printmaking showcases. As an educator, Amanda is passionate about helping students use art as a form of therapy. She guides students to express themselves creatively, communicate thoughts that may be difficult to articulate in words, and discover the power of art as a tool for personal growth and self-expression.
