Hardcover. "The Key to the Study of St. Thomas" is an essential introductory guide to the complex philosophical and theological system of St. Thomas Aquinas. Written by Francesco Olgiati, a prominent figure in the neo-scholastic movement, this work seeks to provide a foundational understanding of Thomism by identifying its central principles and internal logic. Rather than offering a mere historical survey, Olgiati focuses on the "key" that unlocks the coherence of Aquinas's thought, making it accessible to students and scholars alike. The book explores the synthesis of faith and reason that defines the Scholastic tradition, examining how Aquinas integrated Aristotelian philosophy with Christian doctrine. Through a rigorous analysis of metaphysical and epistemological themes, Olgiati illuminates the enduring relevance of the Angelic Doctor's teachings in the modern world. This work remains a significant contribution to Catholic intellectual history, offering a clear path for those seeking to navigate the depth and breadth of the "Summa Theologica" and other monumental writings. It is an indispensable resource for anyone interested in medieval philosophy, theology, and the foundational pillars of Western thought. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
